Kathy C. Pilkington – Paralegal and Certified Legal Assistant Specialist
A native of Gaston County, Kathy is married to husband, Randy, has two sons, John and Mark (both UNC grads), and is a proud and devoted ‘Nana’ to three grandchildren, Laney, Tucker and Marin. Kathy received her paralegal degree from CPCC in Charlotte, NC, is certified with the North Carolina State Bar Association and received her specialization certification from The National Association of Legal Assistants, becoming North Carolina’s first legal assistant specialist in the areas of estate administration, estate planning and taxation. Additionally, she is a member and past audit chair of the North Carolina Paralegal Association and has worked with partner, Tony Orsbon, for 40 years. She is an active member in her church and enjoys reading, sewing and knitting.
Alicia M. Konieczynski – Paralegal
Alicia was born and raised in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Nazareth High School and went on to Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. After her graduation from Ursinus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, she sought warmer temperatures and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. After stumbling upon a job as a legal assistant with Orsbon & Fenninger, LLP, her interest in the estate and tax field was sparked, and she pursued and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Central Piedmont Community College. She is currently certified with the North Carolina State Bar Association. Alicia is married to Jeff and they have two children, Nicholas and Jillian. In her “free” time, she is a soccer and dance mom, and she loves gardening, listening to music, going to the beach, cooking, and playing practical jokes on her co-workers!
James H. Thomasson (“Jim”) – Firm Pilot and Guy Friday
Jim is a North Carolina native and the father of partner, Cyndy Fenninger. Jim graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and flew B-52s for Strategic Air Command, then enjoyed a long career as custom home builder in Charlotte. Jim is married to wife, Carolyn, has four daughters, Ruth, Diane, Michelle and Cyndy, and a multitude of grandchildren. Having retired from his former position as a pilot for Charter Flight, Jim now volunteers his time for the firm doing a wide variety of tasks, the most important of which is welcoming clients upon their arrival. Jim is an avid walker and reader and an active member of Sardis Presbyterian Church.
