Perry A. Coumas is a partner with Orsbon and Fenninger. He joined Orsbon & Fenninger in 2016. His practice is a blend of estate planning, estate administration, and related proceedings necessary to accomplish his clients’ goals. He has a broad range of experience and is comfortable helping clients with unusually difficult situations.

Perry regularly advises and represents clients in the following matters:

  • Basic estate planning which includes preparing testamentary instruments, health care powers of attorney, durable powers of attorney, and HIPAA releases
  • Tax Planning including the use of certain types of trusts to aid families in accomplishing their charitable goals and desired tax consequences
  • Special needs planning for children who suffer from disabilities
  • Guardianship for special needs adults and older adults who are suffering from a debilitating illness
  • Representation of Trustees and advising trustees on how to properly fulfill their fiduciary duties

Perry was raised in Charlotte and attended Wake Forest after graduating from Charlotte Country Day. Perry graduated from Wake Forest University in 2008 with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude and then graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2011. He was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2011. Perry was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2021.
